A little bit of art, and a little bite of macarons

This afternoon, Jeanne and Léon are in the Centre Pompidou in the Beaubourg area of the 4th arrondissement of Paris. It is a polycultural museum displaying modern and contemporary art, be it painting, literature, cinema and music. The building was designed in the style of high-tech architecture. The center was named after Georges Pompidou, the President of France from 1969 to 1974.

The Centre Pompidou houses the public information library, the National Modern Art Museum, and IRCAM, which is a centre for music and acoustic research. Jeanne and Léon can admire several word-famous pieces of art in the museum, including among others "L.H.O.O.Q" by Marcel Duchamp, "The Frame" by Frida Khalo and "Le Rhinocéros" by Xavier Veilhan

After visiting Centre Pompidou, Jeanne and Léon want to take a macaron break. Luckily, one of the best places to get macarons in Paris is just a five-minute-walk from there ! They go to Pierre Hermé (18 Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie, 75004 Paris). Their most famous macaron is the Ispahan : It is a subtle alliance of sweet rose cream and the floral note of the litchi, heightened by the assertive brio of fresh raspberry. Taste it, you won't regret it !

What is your favourite macaron flavour ? Jeanne's is Ispahan, and Léon's is Caramel.

Sweet kisses,
